Elder & Sister Arbuckle from Fruit Heights. They know Uncle Reed and Aunt DeLoris.

Valorie Cook from Montpelier with her husband and newest addition. We were able to go to their home and visit with them. They are on the island for at least 2 years. They hope to get George & Jan (her parents) over for a visit.

George Quensell & Kalili Hansen were able to go to the temple for the first time. We had them in temple class. We went through on Nov 15.

Preparing the pit with wood

Chopping up the banana bark

After the wood is in the pit they fill it with pourous, black, lava rock. Then they set the wood on fire by pouring gas down the pipe in the middle. Once the lava rock becomes really hot and the wood is burned out they are ready to put the pig in.

Then putting the tea leaves on the banana bark then some wire to hold the pig.

Next they covered it with wet burlap sacks.

Then they covered it with a black tarp.
